Abstract

Dieting has been the cause of eating disorders and problematic thinking for ages. Fad diets are specifically the outcome of social pressures, misconceptions, and economic issues, yet they are still extremely popular because of how little the effects of fad diets are discussed. These short-term fad diets need to be replaced with a healthier option, a long-term option. There needs to be knowledge spread about how to diet healthily, sustainably, and nutritionally. There is important information on dieting that is typically misunderstood and could be replaced by Intuitive eating, a healthier lifestyle than the fad dieting industry.
